It’s packed with traditional Mexican crafts, so it’s fun just to look around! The former home and studio of Luis Barragán, one of Mexico’s most famous architects.
It’s a very striking building, known for its colorful design and its thoughtful use of natural light. The recommended photo spot is the pink wall on the rooftop. The contrast with the green plants makes for beautiful, natural photos! Advance reservation is required to enter Casa Luis Barragán, so please book through the website. Also, please note that taking photos or bringing a camera inside requires an additional fee of 500 pesos (as of 2019), separate from the admission fee.

Xochimilco is about a 45-minute to 1-hour drive from central Mexico City. It’s a town where strong Aztec-era traditions remain, so it’s a great place to experience that atmosphere.

This 18th-century Baroque building in the Centro area is known as the “House of Tiles.”

“TANE MEXICO” is a historic jewelry store founded in Mexico in 1942.
